After playing Supreme Commander, Sins of a Solar Empire, and Company of Heroes, the old Starcraft formula just doesn't look appealing anymore. I am however, very eager to see what kind of custom games that'll be coming up. Custom games were the reason I played Starcraft and Warcraft 3. Without them, Starcraft would be a pretty mediocre game.
I for one, will be sticking to EiR, SoaSE, and SupCom for my RTS needs. I'll still be buying SC2 though, just for the great fun in custom maps.

How can you judge Starcraft II as a shitty bad game. It is still months till its release.
If blizzard stands for anything, then it is quality control. Great singleplayer campaigns, excellent multiplayer balance and stability, powerful editor and epic custom map possibilites.
To all the haters, be a little more open minded, this game will be the bomb.

Oh I'm not doubting Blizzard's legendary and well-deserved reputation for quality games. I'm sure SC2 will be high quality. SC2 seems to me as SC1 all over again, so the SC fanbase will probably love SC2. I just think that the RTS genre has evolved with games like GC, DoW, CoH, and EiR. SC is still fun, but I find the others superior to the old SC style.
